My friend has a store on line and I have ordered some things from her and am so happy with them. I got myself some chimes now that I have a porch and they are terrific. I even got some that match my daughter favorite sheets, with the moon and stars!!! Also received some incense which I am much into. The prices are really reasonable and her service has been fantastic. In fact she bent over backwards I must say when I did not pay when I said I would. My bad, I had lost my job. In the United States I have Netflix and have found it a very good service. I have not had any major problems with this movie rental system. The minor things have been totally well taken care of. Well, my Canadian friends have a similar program and I bring it to you to take a look at.

Tis a fine thing when the internet allows us to have some fun. Credit card

I don't normally approve of having credit cards although they seem to be such a necessity so it is with pleasure to write about my Discover card. This is why! I had a fire in April and lost everything including my Discover card which they sent a limit I wanted. When I was settled into a rental and I called them, they sprund to action and told me how sorry they were for my difficulties. They ended up overnighting my new card since I do business online and that would allow me to continue to do the things I do. They also sent me a years worth of statements since I am a real record keeper. They have done wonders for my opinion of having credit cards.
Lately, I have gotten into a bit of a bind when our bank fee'd us practically to ruin. They are no longer our bank. They shall remain nameless since bad publicity can be good publicity. Well Discover has authorized a hold on my account per my request until I am paid which I have just done and changed my banking information. They provided me with a direct link so I did't have to click mutiple times. Anyway, now my payment is made and the interest rate has been dropped to give me more opportunity to pay on my bill.
I have to say they are great! If you need a credit card then PLEASE consider getting a Discover card. I cannot say enough about them.

Something I found that is quite interesting.

I have not used Yahoo as much as I should have however I think that this intrigues me enough to start seeing how much Yahoo has improved. Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona

I have heard of this guy, sheriff briefly before. Now with a bit more information I think that he might just have something. Sheriff Joe Arpaio (in Arizona ) who created the "tent city jail": He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them.
He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jails. Took away their weights. Cut off all but "G" movies.
The sheriff has started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work on county and city projects. Then he started chain gangs for women so he wouldn't get sued for discrimination.
He took away cable TV until he found out there was a federal court order that required cable TV for jails. So he hooked up the cable TV again only let in the Disney channel and the weather channel. When asked why the weather channel he replied,so they will know how hot it's gonna be while they are working on my chain gangs.
He cut off coffee since it has zero nutritional value. When the inmates complained, he told them, "This isn't the Ritz/Carlton. If you don't like it, don't come back."

He bought Newt Gingrich' lecture series on videotape that he pipes into the jails.
When asked by a reporter if he had any lecture series by a Democrat, he replied that a democratic lecture series might explain why a lot of the inmates were in his jails in the first place.
More on the Arizona Sheriff: With temperatures being even hotter than usual in Phoenix(116 degrees just set a new record), the Associated Press reports: About 2,000 inmates living in a barbed-wire-surrounded tent encampment at the Maricopa County Jail have been given permission to strip down to their government-issued pink boxer shorts. On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing boxers were either curled up on their bunk beds or chatted in the tents, which reached 138 degrees inside the week before. Many were also swathed in wet, pink towels as sweat collected on their chests and dripped down to their pink socks. "It feels like we are in a furnace," said James Zanzot, an inmate who has lived in the tents for 1 year. "It's inhumane." Joe Arpaio, the tough-guy sheriff who created the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink, and eat bologna sandwiches, is not one bit sympathetic. He said Wednesday that he told all of the inmates: "It's 120 degrees in Iraq and our soldiers are living in tents too,and they have to wear full battle gear, but they didn't commit any crimes,so shut your da**ed mouths!" Way to go, Sheriff! Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders. Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves. Like in our case with no health insurance for the past few years. We are struggling to find employment with healthcare. Not quite right in a great country like ours. I thought that this was worth sharing. Hope you think so too.

I know that I have listened and enjoyed the Internet Radio very much. It came with a toolbar from a site that I belong to and I think that a wonderful medium is under attack. Safety with your cell phone at the fuel mart!

Subject: Fw: Cell Phone Fires.... when it found this I got to thinking. We have heard of cell phones possibly giving us cancer etc. So if you have any doubts some people use snopes.com They seem to tackle legends. Better to be forewarned in case this could happen. Not worth losing gas, your skin or safety. Good luck!


The Shell Oil Company recently issued a warning after three incidents in which mobile phones (cell phones) ignited fumes during fueling operations.

In the first case, the phone was placed on the car's trunk lid during fueling; it rang and the ensuing fire destroyed the car and the gasoline pump.

In the second, an individual suffered severe burns to their face when fumes ignited as they answered a call while refueling their car.

And in the third, an individual suffered burns to the thigh and groin as fumes ignited when the phone, which was in their pocket, rang while they were fueling their car.


You should know that:
Mobile Phones can ignite fuel or fumes

Mobile phones that light up when switched on or when they ring release enough energy to provide a spark for ignition

Mobile phones should not be used in filling stations, or when fueling lawn mowers, boat! , Etc.

Mobile phones should not be used, or should be turned off, around other materials that generate flammable or explosive fumes or dust, (i.e. solvents, chemicals, gases, grain dust, etc.)

To sum it up, here are the: Four Rules for Safe Refueling

1) Turn off engine
2) Don't smoke
3) Don't use your cell phone - leave it inside the vehicle or turn it off
4) Don't re-enter your vehicle during fueling

Bob Renkes of Petroleum Equipment Institute is working on a campaign to try and make people aware of fires as a result of"static electricity" at gas pumps. His company has researched 150 cases of these fires.


His results were very surprising:
1) Out of 150 cases, almost all of them were women.
2) Almost all cases involved the person getting back in their vehicle while the nozzle was still pumping gas. When finished, they went back to pull the nozzle out and the fire started, as a result of static.
3) Most had on rubber-soled shoes.
4) Most men never get back in their vehicle until completely finished. This is why they are seldom involved in these types of fires.
5) Don't ever use cell phones when pumping gas
6) It is the vapors that come out of the gas that cause the fire, when connected with static charges.
7) There were 29 fires where the vehicle was re-entered and the nozzle was touched during refueling from a variety of makes and models. Some resulted in extensive damage to the vehicle, to the station, and to the customer.
8) Seventeen fires occurred before, during or immediately after the gas cap was removed and before fueling began.

Mr. Renkes stresses to NEVER get back into your vehicle while filling it with gas.

If you absolutely HAVE to get in your vehicle while the gas is pumping, make sure you get out, close the door TOUCHING THE METAL, before you ever pull the nozzle out. This way the static from your body will be discharged before you ever remove the nozzle.

As I mentioned earlier, The Petroleum Equipment Institute, along with several other companies now, are really trying to make the public aware of this danger. The Kiwidipa Klub book takes a journey through the fragile minds of children that deal with situations on an everyday basis in divorced families. Being able to send out a message of this nature by using fun imaginative storylines will not only allow parents to understand some of the thought processes that come from a child, but will also give the parents another outlook at what their children may be thinking and at the same time enjoying the story.

The book is based around 15 different bracelets that these children are in search for that possess different meanings and abilities. It is a story of adventure, love and meaning for all ages to enjoy.

This is only the beginning as the Kiwidipa Klub started out as an idea stemming from a question from my son that had to do with the divorce of his mom and I. It has blossomed into a wonderful story, and is in the building process of becoming a foundation. In order for that to happen I Need Your Help.

For the next 24 weeks I will be placing a different awareness wristband on my profile 2 weeks at a time. For adults it will be an avenue of showing support for families and friends that you have come across that endure the situations of divorce everyday. For children they will be able to feel as though they are in the story while they read or are being read to wearing one of these wristbands just like the bracelets in the Kiwidipa Klub.

Here is the information about tracking Americans.....
I have found that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has launched an attack on our privacy rights and personal freedoms.

DHS is aiming to issue a national identity card, known as Real ID, to every American. The national ID card could dictate how you travel, what government buildings you can and cannot enter and whether or not some of your financial transactions would be authorized. Doesn't that concern anyone else other than me?

I really think that America does not need this costly "big brother" nightmare. Consider the following problems this would start:

The Real ID card would enable routine tracking of individuals and send us towards a surveillance type society.
This scheme opens the floodgates to invade the privacy of ordinary, law-abiding citizens which is the majority of all Americans.
The creation of a single interlinked database which would would create one-stop shopping for identity thieves, in otherwords this would help them to do crime.
The Real ID will make it easy for any business to save your personal information and sell it to other companies. I smell greed rearing its head in this case.
People whose religious beliefs forbid them from having their pictures taken or using a social security card will be forced to obey this law to participate in our society. Isn't this a form of persecution?
This Act creates huge administrative burdens for each state and will cost Americans over $23 billion through higher taxes and licensing fees. It provides no federal funds for implementation. More money out of our pockets!
The Department of Homeland Security is accepting comments on the Real ID Act. The number of comments will be watched by many influential Members of Congress, not just your own. So why don't we weigh in and let the power of the people speak again.
